'Crazy/Mad Girl'

She grows Daisies
in her attic
and
she keeps crumpets
in her shoes,

this is
just a crazy
girl
who has had
her dues.

Summer in full swing, here in my part of the world. My time less so, chained to the 'puter.

I need to go make some more memories.
I want to spend time with my Daughter. Walk my Dog in the Bluebell carpeted wood.Let the Sea gentle me. Chase the Sun over roof tops and bury keepsakes in sand pots.
Have I told you lately how much I appreciate you all though and what you have given me/brought into my life? Because it's true and I do. Always.

I will endeavour to pop in now and again (before I'm back in full throttle in the Autumn) to read you all. Promise. Take care, yous!

You should try not to remember if you want to make memories living in the past wont help.
Nice and intresting words

I've known you only a little time. But I do hope you find your neverland soon.

"I need to make some more memories"
I guess we all do. I don't even remember the last time I was truly wholeheartedly happy. Sometimes it makes one wonder about all this hassle in daily life we do in the name of 'Better life', while life itself slowly drips away.

Saraha, a beautiful post. Yes, the steamy, sultry Ms. Summer has arrived here in full force, too! We haven't had rain in a long time with none forecasted, so I'm high and dry, even missing the humidity.

Have a wonderful, fun time with your daughter, your dog and the healing, ever-changing sea. Wishing you poems and magical memories to come.....

Wonderful poem... It's Ok to go a little Crazy/Mad! Sometimes it's just what the doctor ordered to make the world seem a little saner.

Keep making memories! Play with your daughter, go one long luxurious walks and play forever in the waves and sand. Have a Fantastic Summer! Love and Light, Nina P.

I like the simplicity in this one. This is very much unlike you, I'd imagine.

I shall wait for you in the Autumn then. Take care!!!

Understandable, you!! Yes, I too have some crumpets in my shoes (well, how can you avoid it when your 2 year old keeps stuff in odd places?)(What are crumpets again?) ;p

Anyway, enjoy your break. :D

I like me a little crazy. Stay well. Breathe deep some of that sea air for me and when you wrap your hands 'round your arms just once think of me and bring me there. Take care.

Have a lovely Summer break. You deserve it. Your poetry is gorgeous.

Have fun making some memories, and make it count too...I've just finished watching titanic for like the 5th time...but the message never gets old..and every time I watch it I see the fragility of life and that really all we've got is the air in our lungs and a world full of possibilities...each choice we make counts...so if you have time one day follow the bluebells and you never know where you might end up...summer is a time when the sun shines on you and everything around you.
The poem is beautiful, and I understand perfectly. However I think something is missing from it...I'm not sure...I read it through quite a few times and I think in between "who has" and "had" there needs to be another word I'm not sure..Its your choice and its still a lovely poem as it is but I think if you said "who has already had her dues" or "who who has never had her dues" or whatever remains true to the poem it would hold a better rhythm.
P.S. and it is a pleasure to read your poetry, always.

I know it is very difficult to forget the past. But one thing you must realize is that the sooner you make that sacrifice, you can move even faster to what is your forthcoming goal.

Keep on trying and God bless you always, Shara

I only just found your blog. I forget that it is summer in some parts of the world. Australia is in the dead of winter. I am sorry (for me) that you are going on summer break. Your words are beautiful! I like the images that the words 'Let the sea gentle me' evoke. I am on the quest for gentleness in the world around and within. I have heard 'happy' waits at the end a gentle path. Can't wait to read more.

I'm sure letting the "sea gentle me", will bring many new thoughts to mind. What beautiful words. Now you are out there, having beautiful moments to write about.
Spending time with family you love is always good. And to have a fur companion is good too.
It has been a really busy summer, the guy who works for me, his daughter has been ill and so he is gone to spend time with her all this month.
I've been working six days a week and I'm not used to that anymore.
We get to go to the beach in three more weeks our selves. So looking forward to that. Even if it is only for a few days.
Have a great rest of the summer.
